Phishing email is sent by scammers pretending to be from legitimate organisation or institution. It contains link that takes you to a fake bank website, which directs you to enter your Internet Banking credentials.
Scammers can trick you into thinking your bank is calling by not only imitating the general line of the bank, but also displaying the direct line and department name on the phone's caller ID screen.
Fraudsters try to gain the victim's trust by impersonating credible individuals such as Bank, BNM, PDRM etc. By inflicting a sense of urgency and panic, they trick victim into revealing his personal financial details over a voice call.
